However, how do you know if the food you are being served is really fresh? In restaurants like Texas Roadhouse and Applebees, it can be hard to tell what is fresh and what is pre-made. To help you figure out which category your meal falls into, there are a few signs that you can look out for. This video helps to highlight some of these signs.

First of all, be wary if your food comes out from the back too quickly. It takes time to cook a meal, whereas reheating doesn’t take long at all. If the restaurant has a plethora of options to choose from, then your food probably isn’t going to be fresh. If your meat’s texture is rubbery and strange, then this is a tell-tale sign of reheated food. Additionally, if a restaurant doesn’t allow for substitutions or cooking changes, then you can be sure it isn’t freshly made.
